Sonic appoints vice president – research and development


Vancouver, BC December 2, 2003 Dr James Hill has been named vice president – research & development for additional applications, and chair of the technical advisory board for Sonic Environmental Solutions.

Dr Hill has over 20 years experience in the environmental, energy and technology sectors. Until recently he was president and CEO of BC Research. He led the privatization of this former government R&D facility and transformed it into a successful catalyst for the creation of new technologies. He helped create and spin-off several successful technology companies, including Celfor, Azure Dynamics and Radient Technologies.

Dr Hill holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and earned his PhD in fluid dynamics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK. He is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia.

Sonic has a technology that produces sonic energy at industrial scale, which it says has the potential of becoming the next platform for many industrial and environmental processes.
