Agilent Technologies names new president and general manager for Canada


Mississauga, ON — September 23, 2003 — Agilent Technologies today announced that Lawrence Loo has been named president and general manager of Agilent Technologies Canada. Mr Loo will perform this function in addition to his current role as the automated test group’s global service & support manager. Loo takes over as president from Alan Lolacher who is departing the company after 19 years.

His diverse experience in managing employees in multiple cultures, as well as different types of business and applications, will be invaluable in his new role.”

Mr Loo has more than 20 years of global technology-related management experience. He first joined Hewlett Packard, from which Agilent split in 1999, in 1987 and advanced through a series of progressively senior positions, including Americas services & support manager for the automated test group’s electronic manufacturing test (EMT) business unit and most recently, global services & support manager for EMT.

Mr Loo, 46, received a bachelor of computer science, a bachelor of mathematics and a bachelor of science designation from the University of Ottawa.
