Workshop to gain access to EU market

Toronto, ON – Despite all the talk of free trade, gaining access to foreign markets is still a challenge. A workshop, organized by MEDEC, the national association for the Canadian medical technology industry is designed to provide medical device companies with an overview of the European Union (EU) regulatory system. Manuela Ahers, an expert with TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, has been invited to give you the know-how to systematically seek regulatory approval for your medical devices.

Two full day interactive workshop are planned, one for Toronto, September 5 at the Ontario Investment & Trade Centre and one in Montreal, September 10 at the Place Bonaventure.

Networking activity and reception in honour of Medical Technologies in Bavaria and 100 Years of Siemens Canada will follow. Participants will be encouraged to learn more about the Bavarian medical technologies sector through testimonials by representatives of Siemens Canada and Medical Valley European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg. The testimonials will be followed by a reception with Bavarian beer and hors d’oeuvres. The reception will take place 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
