New flash cartridges are available in amino and diol phases. When combined with the manufacturer’s flash chromatography system, these specialty phases allow fast, easy purification of challenging polar compounds such as carbohydrates and improve selectivity for non-polar compounds such as lipids. Designed for up to 200psi (14 bar) of pressure, the high-resolution cartridges are compatible with most flash instruments.
