$63M in CFI funding for research across Canada

Ottawa, ON – Over 250 labs in 37 universities across Canada are receiving a total of $63 million in funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).

Greg Rickford, Minister of State (Science and Technology) made the announcement on Friday. The CFI awarded $48.4 million through its John R. Evans Leaders Fund to help universities attract top research talent. In addition, $14.6 million was awarded for operating support through the CFI’s Infrastructure Operating Fund.
