Partnership to strengthen technology commercialization in Calgary


Calgary, AB – University Technologies International (UTI) and BioAlberta have formed a partnership to focus on creating stronger technology-based companies in Calgary and to improve the technology commercialization process for early-stage technologies.

“We are excited about this partnership,” said Paul Cataford, president & CEO for UTI. “This initiative illustrates UTI’s commitment to collaborating with industry partners to create an environment that is ready to support commercialization and help position companies for successful technology mobilization.”

University Technologies International is the University of Calgary’s technology transfer, commercialization and incubation centre for inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs. The organization is dedicated to providing services on all matters related to technology transfer, commercialization product development, company creation and incubation.

BioAlberta is a private, not-for-profit industry association, representing Alberta’s growing bioindustry.
