Call for Qubec research consultation

Québec City, Québec – For the research community and the future of public research in Québec, the strategic planning initiatives of the Fonds and the efforts to renew the QRIS are of paramount importance in terms of directions and funding. The 2013-2016 strategic planning of the Fonds de recherche du Québec is now underway, and the new three-year plans will be adopted in April 2013 at the board of directors meetings of each Fonds. At the same time, the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE) is setting out the third Québec Research and Innovation Strategy (QRIS) for 2013-2016. Under the 2007-2010 and 2010-2013 strategies, the Fonds were granted a total of $165 million for research and student training in addition to their budgetary bases.

To ensure that you have your say, the Fond asks that you fill out one of the short questionnaires on the strategic planning of each Fonds and the common directions that will be recommended by the agencies in their brief on the next QRIS. You have until Friday, September 14, 2012, to contribute.
