Fibrous samples no match for new serrated blade knife

Grinding and homogenizing of tough and fibrous food samples can be very difficult. For example, part of the sample frequently escapes the knives or some material wraps itself around the knife blades. As a result, the sample is only insufficiently homogenized which may lead to falsified analysis results. To improve homogenization of such sample types, a new serrated blade knife is available for use with the Grindomix GM 200.

Due to its serrated blades, the knife ensures complete homogenization of tough, gristly and fibrous samples such as meat or streaky bacon, thus greatly improving the sample preparation process.

Knife mills are suitable for homogenizing substances with a high water, oil or fat content as well as for grinding dry, soft, tough and medium-hard products. They provide completely homogeneous and reproducible size reduction results in seconds so that representative samples can be taken from any location in the grinding container. RETSCH
