Software optimizes colour and effect analysis in the lab

Colour and effect control in the laboratory requires open and flexible data analysis as well as efficient data handling of large data sets. Smart-lab software analyzes all data measured with the BYK-mac: 6-angle colour, sparkle and graininess. The measurements are taken in an online mode and are instantly displayed after measurement or can be retrieved from the linked database (sdf-format for efficient data analysis of large data sets).

All measurement data are stored in a database (sdf-format). Clearly structured filters can be used for data selection. Standards and samples can also be saved in “projects” as xml-files. Thus, for example colour batch QC data over a defined time period can easily be transferred by email to other smart-lab users. Projects can also combine data saved in different measurement databases.
