Bottle walls no barrier to liquid level sensors

Plastic, glass and fibreglass cannot block the Cap-100 series of capacitive liquid level sensors from detecting fluid levels. Level monitoring is conducted from outside the sealed container making them useful for analyzing vessels filled with biohazardous waste. They are also suitable for medical applications, including waste, reagents, buffer or diluent, as well as dark, sticky and viscous fluids, and can be used a proximity sensor to detect solids. These non-contact sensors work to a wall thickness of up to 10 mm for non-metallic containers only. They support aqueous and non-aqueous liquid detection. Gems Sensors & Controls Inc.
