Imaging camera easily detects refrigerant leaks

Replacing or recharging gas can be expensive. Although refrigerant gases are vital for many industries they can be harmful to the environment, and often emissions are governed by local regulations. That’s why it’s crucial to find leaks in industrial refrigeration as quickly as possible. The Flir GF304 Optical Gas Imaging Camera allows for leak detection without shutting down the refrigeration unit. It uses a cooled quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) and a cold band pass filter to detect hydrofluorocarbon and chlorofluorocarbon gases in the 8.0 to 8.6µm waveband. It also visualizes temperatures between -20 and 500°C. Flir Advanced Thermal Solutions
