The HP 140 Pick-and-Place automation system comes with a highly dynamic linear motor drive that is user-programmable in the Y and X direction. Horizontal and a vertical linear axis are integrated into a single module that can move directly to all points along these two axes. Configured in a compact, robust design, the series offers new possibilities for many applications including laboratory use. In addition, manufacturer says the design offers superior performance capabilities vs traditional pneumatic systems. The system does not require the purchase, set-up, and commission of two separate axes, The system also offers fast acceleration of up to 40 m/sec2 and repeat accuracy of 0.01 mm.
