Serological pipettes are 32% shorter than standard serological pipettes, allowing greater freedom of movement when used under the hood or in other confined spaces. Smaller size also improves ease of use and manipulation, and requires less plastic and packaging, making them more environmentally friendly. A one-piece design reduces the possibility of particulates. In addition, the pipettes come with easy-to-read markings and printing, as well as a printed stripe that magnifies the meniscus, making volume reading easier. They are nonpyrogenic and noncytotoxic.
