Pump easily handles air-sensitive, crystallizing fluids

Low-volume, valveless metering pump is designed for precision dispensing of air-sensitive, crystal-forming fluids. The manufacturer’s miniature pump heads are now available with an isolation gland to provide a fluid barrier between the pumped process fluid and atmosphere. The pumps are suitable for applications including maintenance-free dispensing of saline based reagents, buffers and wash fluids, slurries, abrasive fluids, fluids with particulates, inks, pigments, anaerobic fluids, and dialysate used for hemodialysis.

Isolation gland pumps have a pair of extra ports which are connected to a fluid source (either liquid or gas). The fluid flowing through the gland ports provides a barrier which isolates the pumped process fluid from the seal area and atmosphere. The isolation gland is easily connected to the ‘barrier’ liquid or gas source via barbed fittings.
