Optical trigger now smaller, more robust

Imaging equipment can be heavy and cumbersome so any size reductions are welcome. Specialised Imaging has redesigned SFW’s OT-series of optical triggers to make them smaller and more robust. The OT3 is battery-driven for portability and to isolate its operation from interference from ground loops, noise spiking or brownout. The sensor has a spectral response of 300 to 1,300 nm, and a 700 nm cut-off filter has been incorporated to make it is less likely to saturate from high infrared sources. The unit can also be used as an IR muzzle flash detector and as a sky-screen detector. Specialised Imaging Ltd.
