New president appointed to Eli Lilly Canada


Toronto, ON July 17, 2003 Jeffrey Henderson has been named president and general manager of Eli Lilly Canada, effective immediately.

Mr Henderson succeeds Gaetano Crupi who will become global product team leader for Strattera (atomoxetine HCI).

“I see a great deal of opportunity for research-based pharmaceuticals in Canada and Lilly will continue to be at the forefront,” said Mr Henderson.

Mr Henderson has served as corporate vice president and controller for the global organization of Eli Lilly since 2000, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr Henderson joined Lilly in Indianapolis in 1998 as corporate vice president and treasurer for the global organization.

Prior to joining Lilly, Mr Henderson held various management assignments for General Motors in many countries including Canada, the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Mr Henderson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly the GMI Engineering and Management Institute) in Flint, Michigan in 1988 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1991.

Mr Henderson is a native of St Catharines, ON.
