DuPont Nutrition & Health names new senior executive


Mississauga, ON August 25, 2003 DuPont yesterday announced that Douglas W Muzyka, president & CEO of DuPont Canada, will add responsibility as vice president & general manager – DuPont Nutrition & Health.

“Doug brings excellent business and technical leadership to our Nutrition & Health team,” says J Erik Fyrwald, group vice president, DuPont Agriculture & Nutrition. “We are especially pleased with the international and industry perspective that he brings to our businesses from his leadership positions in Mexico and Canada. Doug will play a pivotal role in achieving our mission to improve the quantity, quality and safety of the world food supply.”

Muzyka joined DuPont in 1985 as a research scientist and has held a number of leadership positions in North America and Asia Pacific. He was appointed president and CEO of DuPont Canada in January this year.

The DuPont Agriculture & Nutrition platform employs 12,500 people worldwide. The company says it leverages biotechnology and food value chain knowledge to increase the quality, quantity and safety of the global food supply. Sales for 2002 in production agriculture, crop protection, and nutrition and health were US$4.5 billion.
