$217M in funding for health research projects

Ottawa, ON – Health researchers across Canada have received a total of 589 health research grants from the federal government, worth $217 million, for a wide range of projects. The grants are awarded through the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR).

The funded research projects will be carried out over periods of one to five years.
