$2.2M funding kicks off plans for new cancer and cardiac research centre

Thunder Bay, ON – The Ontario government has committed over $2.2 million in support of a planned new Cancer and Cardiac Research Centre in Thunder Bay.

The new centre will be built at the former site of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Cancer Centre and will include several different research laboratories.

An Ontario government spokesperson said no date has been set for work on the new centre to begin, as fundraising efforts are still underway.
