Medical Manufacturing Innovations 2012 unveils conference and education program

Toronto, ON – Taking place October 24-25, 2012, the Medical Manufacturing Innovations (MMI Toronto) conference will have many worthwhile programs available for attendees.

Based on feedback from thousands of industry representatives through a survey conducted by show organizer Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), a thought-provoking and informative educational line-up was developed.

The opening presentation will be Building New Lungs: Biologics and Biomechanic Devices by keynote speaker Dr. Shaf Keshavjee, thoracic surgeon and director of the Toronto Lung Transplant Program. He made headlines after leading the team that performed a successful double lung transplant on patient Hélène Campbell earlier this year.

The Discovery Tracks session will cover hot topics including metal injection molding, additive manufacturing applications, and advanced multi-material molding processes to help provide solutions and pertinent education to the industry.
