Innovation foundation funds projects in New Brunswick


Edmundston, NB – Funding of $100,000 for five research assistantship positions and a start-up grant for a research project at Universit de Moncton’s Edmundston campus is being made by the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation.

Manuel Lamontagne, Hector Adgbidi, Lacina Coulibaly, Martin Beland received funding for their respective projects under the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation’s Research Assistantships Initiative.

Adgbidi also received start-up under the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation’s Research Innovation Fund, to support his research in peat moss development.

The initiative funds New Brunswick students working with professors or researchers conducting innovative research projects in the strategic clusters identified as knowledge industries, life sciences, value-added natural resources and advanced manufacturing.
